... wedding photography
I once was into wedding photography within the region of Newfoundland and Labrador (although, I never visited Labrador before). However, from around 2015 to 2019, I photographed weddings in Newfoundland, mostly on the Avalon Peninsula, but also in other regions of the island, such as Bonavista, Grand Falls, and others.
So, why did I leave in the first place? I decided to take a step back from wedding photography because of burn out - almost entirely. Photographing a wedding is difficult on the body, it's very time consuming (editing, communication with clients, preparation, etc.) and it took away from my summer break (as a teacher). Now that I've had several years to settle into my day job relatively well, I can now return to devoting time to my passion of photography and dealing with couples to make sure their special day is thoughtfully and beautifully recorded!
Thanks for taking the time to read my first blog post. I will post personal thoughts and photos on here, I will post wedding images, and I will revisit some older photos from my portfolio.
